PROFILE UPDATE: Jovon Moses
HEIGHT: 6-foot-7
WEIGHT: 220 Pounds
POSITION: Power Forward
PREP SCHOOL (LAST SEASON): Genesis One Christian School in Mendenhall, Mississippi.
MIKE SULLIVAN'S VIEW OF JOVON MOSES' INDIVIDUAL GAME: Jovon Moses works very hard inside the paint on both ends of the court. Handling the dirty work may not get raves from the highlight show, but it earns a player respect and appreciation by those dishing out the playing minutes.
Jovon's terrific play eventually landed him a scholarship from the up and coming Duquesne program. However, Duquesne publisher Denny Conroy recently reported that Moses had been released by the Atlantic 10 basketball program.
The question now for Moses is where does he land? Perhaps the JUCO route will be investigated seriously now by Moses, according to sources.
Brian Towey's Evaluation Report:: Moses' biggest strength is his ability to rebound the basketball. He has a strong frame and has improved his body over the past two years. He is at his best when he stays aggressive and active.
Originally a member of the class of 2005, he attended Automotive High School in Brooklyn. He completed his second year at Genesis One under Coach Victor Evans.
Jovon also played with Doc Nicelli's Student-Athlete Broncos on the AAU circuit.
